Interior Designer
From a very early age, Rachel knew of her love for interior spaces. She would draw sketches of living rooms while classmates drew stick figures. She was more interested in rearranging the dollhouse furniture, while her friends played with the dolls. Deciding on a college and career path was a “no-brainer” for her. Choosing to stay in her home town and close to family – Rachel attended the Art Institute of Tampa and received her Bachelor’s of Fine Arts with a concentration on Interior Design.
Throughout her time in college, Rachel worked for a large and well renowned engineering firm. At just 19 years old, she was included in design meetings, lunch and learns and continuing education courses. She would practice her school design presentations on her architecture/design colleagues any chance she could.
While earning her degree, she was simultaneously laying down the foundation of her career, learning first hand and building her network connections. Since 2012 Rachel has specialized in high-end residential interior design in the Tampa Bay Area. She has specific training in kitchen and bath cabinetry configurations and specifications which gives her great insight to the possibilities of custom woodworking.
Rachel joined the team of Andrea Lauren Elegant Interiors in August 2019 and is humbled at the opportunity to use her passion to continue to create beautiful design solutions for her clients. Outside of being an award winning designer, she is proud to be a wife and step mom of two.
